This is now in beta phase and initially launched in Brazil as a pilot project. The plan is to widened this program throughout the world when it would get mature enough to be considered as deploy-able in all countries.

Facebook pay can be operated from any of the social media application owned by facebook Inc. i.e. Whatsapp, Facebook, Facebook messenger and Instagram. Initially facebook pay is introduced in all over the world through facebook app. However, Brazil stood first to use Whatsapp to make payments through facebook pay. And United states of America, USA, can use facebook messenger, to make payments through facebook pay. 3. Which payment methods it supports

Currently it supports credit card, debit card, and PayPal integrations. You just need to add the information of your credit card, debit card, or PayPal and you are ready to pay or receive money.

Payment history would be visible in all the connected applications i.e. Facebook, Whatsapp, Messenger and Instagram

5. Transaction Fees

Facebook categorically says that, “There are no fees to send money to—or receive money from—friends and family on Messenger or WhatsApp”

However, WhatsApp says in its official post that the businesses pay a 3.99% processing fee to receive payments and they will required to use 6-digit PIN or fingerprint to complete the transactions.

6. How to integrate Facebook pay in Facebook apps

You can start using Facebook Pay on Facebook, Messenger and Instagram with just a few taps:

Go to Facebook or Messenger > “Settings” > “Facebook Pay” and add your preferred payment method—credit card, debit card, or PayPal (options dependent on product)—and complete the payment setup. For added security, you have the option to create a PIN or use your device bio-metrics, and you can do so when making a payment where Facebook Pay is available.
