Intelligent Glasses ‘iGlass’

Rumors about Apple’s new ‘AR glass’ have been circulating throughout the world in this year 2020. Despite such speculations spanning over a period that feels like a lifetime, it seems that we might finally be on the edge of Apple’s next big product release.

Suggested Name:

Apple AR glasses are simply known as Apple glass. However this name is unbelievably reminiscent to Google glass which Google already attempted a similar device. ‘Apple Glass’ may will said to be the final name of this product. But for that we have to wait for the final product to be release by end of this year or early next year 2021.

Let us call this product an Intelligent Glasses i.e. ‘iGlass’ in this article.

Unique Design:

  • Sleek and stylish like any other products of Apple
  • A very friendly and approachable
  • Frame would be aluminum or some sort of composite like apple phone case

There is also a possibility that Apple will offer a customized frame to choose from as they have offered types of straps for Apple watch and have introduced may unique colors in their other iPhone products.

LiDAR Sensor:

With a LiDAR advance technology sensor on  ‘iGlass’, it could map 3D points  around the environment, calculate the distance on the sides at the run time. You do not need to scan the environment before placing the objects. You will be able to virtually visualize and adding items to your view by just wearing ‘iGlass’.

The entire technical gadgets will be available on the ‘iGlass’ frame like flash light, light sensors, Accelerometer, Face ID, Barometer, Compass, Gyro, Proximity on top of the Frame.

Camera Features:

Apple has the latest Triple Camera:12 MP, f/1.8, 26mm (wide), 1/2.55″, PDAF, OIS + 12 MP, f/2.4, 52mm (telephoto), 1/3.4″, PDAF, OIS, 2x optical zoom + 12 MP, (ultra wide), autofocus, Quad-LED (dual tone) flash with phase detection, OIS, 2x optical zoom, Geo-tagging, simultaneous 4K video and 8MP image recording, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR (photo/panorama) On their products but

The bad news can be that Apple’s ‘iGlass’ might not have a camera or photographic features. It is only because of people can take it negative, when you are talking to them they might think that you are recording them and might take is offensive.  Some people on the other hand says that with the time it will be acceptable in the community and we will have the latest camera and photographic features on ‘iGlass’ at Eye Level. In fact it very interesting to record something at Eye level.

Charging the better of the Apple’s  ‘iGlass’ will be through a wireless charger. But we do not know the charging time and battery life at the moment. But a portable light weight wireless charger will be appreciated and easy to carry around.   

Audio Compatibility:

Recording or playing audio/video, it is expected that Apple Glasses will not have any built-in speakers or headphones. You might still use your airPods with this ‘iGlass’.

Functionality:

The majority of data processing will be going through as part of iPhone. It is expected that in the newer version of Apple iPhoneXII will have a shorter range of Wifi connectivity with these ‘iGlass’

With the period of time it is predicted that all the processing will take place independently within the glasses. The display would be visible to the wearer only from inside and completely invisible from the outside.

Price Range:

This new Apple product iGlass will not be that high as we are expecting! It would be about $500 or less.

Expected Release Date:

The earlier release date for this product was early this year but due to the current Coronavirus situation it is postponed and might be available by the end of 2020, or the production can be stretched ready for next year 2021. We have to wait for the official announcement from the Apple.
