Asphalt Concrete Paving

This Standard prescribes minimum mandatory requirements governing the design and construction of asphalt concrete paving. This Standard does not apply to airfield pavement. Permanent airstrip design and construction details are covered in Standard Drawing AA-036257 and appropriate FAA specifications. Helipad design and construction details are covered in Standard Drawing AA-036246. This Standard does not apply to asphalt concrete paving for non-traffic areas such as lining secondary containment dikes or erosion control for slopes.
