stay healthy while staying at home

Vegetarian is a healthy died. It keeps you away from many diseases related to heart and diabetes.

Today I will explore you how to make a ‘VEGETABLE PAKORA CHAT’ in just 15 minutes.

While staying at home in self quarantine, you get bored of doing nothing. And when your thoughts are even finished. It is time to get up and go to kitchen and spend few minutes to chance your mood and become energetic and feel fresh.

The ingredients you need are few vegetables. Check in your fridge which vegetables you have got. You only need a small quantity of each which is available.

In my fridge, I have available: Onion, broccoli, spinach and green beans

Step 1

Take a Bowl. Cut vegetables in small pieces as shown on the picture below : You can also include more vegetables

Step 2

Add gram flour about half of a cup into the ready cut vegetables

Step 3

Add ½ tea spoon salt or to your taste, red chili powder to your taste

Add baking Power (if available) or yeast– a pinch of anyone available (this will give softness to ‘vegetable pakora’)

Other spices you may include:

  • Black pepper
  • Turmeric powder
  • Dry coriander grounded – gives a good for taste –1 table spoon
  • Ginger and Garlic paste – 1 table spoon ( if you do not have it just mash ginger and garlic together to make a  paste) – for freshening taste

Step 4

Add the amount of water to make a thick paste

Method

Heat ‘vegetable oil’ in a separate deep frying pan.

When the oil is heated enough, use a medium size spoon to put the ready mixed paste in the oil. Do it slowly.  You can make 5 to 6 pieces in one time.  Use a big spoon to move “vegetable pakora” in the frying pan.

Cook one side of “vegetable pakora” about 3-4 minutes and then turn the side. You need to fry them until they get golden brown color. Do not overcook.  When you see that they a golden brown and look crispy remove them from the oil and put them in water in a separate bowl.

When all ‘vegetable pakora ’are ready keep them in water for about 5 minutes.  It will soften the texture of ‘vegetable pakora’ from inside too.

Take yogurt 5 -6 spoons , add some water to make a thick paste,  Remove ‘ vegetable pakora’ from water and mix them with yogurt paste.

For garnishing you can add coriander, mint, pomegranate seeds tomato, cucumber, on it.  sprinkle some spices on top. I have used ‘CHAT MASALA’

Serve it with ketchup, hot sweet sauce or tamarind sauce… Release your boring… fresh up your self… and stay healthy
