SOCIAL PHOBIA

Social anxiety disorder (social phobia) is a mental condition, this fear creates problems in daily life for people with a social anxiety disorder like in schoolwork, during the job, interviews, and many other day-to-day activities
BEHAVIORAL AND PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS
- Fast heart beating
- Sweating
- Feel your mind goes blank
- Muscles pain
- Worrying about embarrassing and insulting
- fear that others will notice that you look nervous
- Having anxiety in the tension of a feared activity or event, etc..
Causes
- Brain structure, “a structure in the brain called the amygdala which plays an important role in controls the anxieties responses. People who have an overactive amygdala may have heightened fear reaction, causing increased difficulty in social circumstances”.
- Physical, sexual, or emotional abuse
- Bullying or teasing by others
- Family conflicts, domestic violence
- Maternal stress
DIAGNOSING SOCIAL ANXIETY DISORDER
There is no medical test to check for social anxiety disorder. People can diagnose social phobia from a description of symptoms. They can also diagnose social phobia after examining certain behavioral patterns.
TREATMENT
First, concern with your doctor or healthcare professional about your symptoms. Your doctor asks you about your health history to make sure that an unrelated physical problem is not causing your symptoms.
Your doctor may refer you to a mental health specialist, like a psychiatrist, psychologist, clinical social worker, or counselor.
Social anxiety therapy ( social phobia) is generally treated by psychotherapy sometimes it called “talk therapy”. It can also be treated with medication or it can be can do in both ways (through talk and medicines).
If someone has these symptoms then they must consult with a psychologist or psychiatrist because they will help you. Otherwise, small problems can convert into new psychological or physiological issues.
