A Solar Eclipse will occur today in the morning time with many cities in Pakistan. According to the PMD ( Pakistan Meteorological Department ), ” An annular solar eclipse happens when the moon covers the sun’s center, leaving the sun’s visible outer edges to form a “ring of fire” or annulus around the moon”.

The Partial Eclipse will begin at 8:46 AM Local Time with the highest eclipse occuring at 11:40 AM and end at 2:34 PM.
Visibility
It will be visible in the mentioned cities :
- Islamabad
- Lahore
- Karachi
- Peshawar
- Quetta
- Gilgit
- Muzaffarabad
- Sukkur
- Gwaddar
In Sukkar, the annular solar eclipse will be visible in entire city with a solar coverage of 98.78% .
Gilgit would have the least solar coverage in the eclipse at 74.88%, center added.
Apart from Pakistan it will be visible in some parts of the following countries:
- Africa – including the Central African Republic
- Democratic Republic of Africa
- Ethiopia
- India
- China
