This standard establishes requirements for selection, quality assurance, quality control, and first-fill purchase of oilfield chemicals in MSG (Materials Service Group) 147000. The purpose of this standard is to implement a program that results in the cost-effective purchase and performance of oilfield chemicals. This document does not address other
chemicals, such as drilling chemicals, water treatment chemicals, or chemicals used in refinery processes.
